I'm so glad that I went out last night. Really it made all the difference. I am not cranky or hurt anymore what so ever. The crew of girls made sure to let me know what was the deal and what they thought if the whole thing after I explained it all to them. Truth is they were right, and I was silly. I'm actually glad I have them on my side because they can be quite ferocious.

L's new restaurant is smashing. I was surprised because I thought it was going to be all "look at me, look at me, look at me" velvet rope crowd. Not at all. Oh sure, there was the Austin Powers fembot look-a-like at the door but surprisingly the atmosphere and quality of food was very good. Plus the whole wait staff is yummy, no joke, it's serious eye candy. It's going to end up being our hangout. And it's funny because even though I never pay that much attention to L because he can be so silly and he's like big brother material, last night while reading his restaurant write up in a magazine I realized how popular he is. I mean I had no clue that he opened up Pravda & Clementine. So I was surprised and proud of him even more because this place is the bombdotcom. And if your in the NYC area you should run, not walk to go check it out. I mean it!

So we all sat and talked and drank cocktails and glasses of wine and had bits and pieces of food as we started getting hungry. Cigarettes were smoked, glasses were filled up with amazing wine, and stories were told. It was simply glorious. And I can't believe I forgot how glorious these times can be. They are. Plus I laughed so much with R's Olympic story. While the majority of us didn't even bother with it all and became annoyed at times with it, R managed to go to it on company time because apparently Xerox was one of the main sponsors. So he said that when he got there he was all cocky and wasn't going to give in to the whole Olympic craze thing. And then within a few hours he said he was like every other fool swapping pins and buying hats. It was hysterical. My stomach hurt from laughing. And if I had the chance that would have been the way to go. It was first class care and he was on a free ride. Nothing better than that.

We also discussed out L.A. girls trip. Now that I have a job and cash coming in I'm up for it. Except we are all thinking of going at the end of March because we'll have the hook up of staying in a bungalow by the pool at the Chateux for free, which is all good, but I have to check if I can take time out with my boss. I just started this new job and I don't want to tick them off. I also don't know if can get the time off. So I'll have to check it out come Monday. But hey if work allows me to take some time off I'll be there at the end of March. Yey! (L.bug you know this means that you have to come visit me when I go.)

A & I also discussed the road trip we are planning to take over the summer. A, K & I are planning to get out of the city and drive somewhere for a few days. I don't know if the trip will kill us or make better friends. Either way we're all up for the challenge. I think A knows where we might end up. I told them I don't care what so ever where we end up. I'm sure we're going to get into trouble no matter where. But good trouble, you know the kind you blush about at the end of the day. So I was really excited about that.

After L took us to hell hole (a term coined by all of us) which is near his new place. Filled with posers and models and wannabe's. I found it very hard not to dump my drink on corny idiots. Women bustling around like they think are strutting on a catwalk, all carbon copies of each other in terms of fashion and guys thinking they're smooth. It was partly funny and partly cheesy. After 10 minutes we were out of there, pushing through people clamoring to get in. I think it's funny how L seems to know everyone at the door of every place we go to. We never pay to get in, we are escorted through the buttload of people waiting are doors into place's that seem so pathetic when we come in. Then again I have high expectations. Just as high as all my friends. Which is probably why we vamoosh as quickly as we come into these establishments.

From there we called it an early night at about 2:30 am and I hopped into a cab to come home. It was a very nice night and I am so glad I decided to go out. It would have been so silly for me to have stayed in.

Tonight I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Initially I had planned to stay in and just chill. Sleep more and not go a drinkin' with friends. But it is Saturday and friends are going to be going out so I might go out for a bit. I'm not sure though since it's up in the air. For right now I'm going back to bed for a nap.

Snooches...
